I have been in a funk the last month and a half with the whole blog thing. I think it has a lot to do with not having the internet in our apartment. When I would go home it would usually be for home work or job hunting. I did not make the blog a priority, and I think that was okay. But, I started to really miss it. So when we got the internet, I really debated what I was going to do. I came to the conclusion that I needed to write. I love to write about my life, especially this new chapter that I am in with my loving husband. Of course, I will continue to share the fun things we do and see, but some things will not be recorded. I believe in keeping a journal for the purpose of keeping my most cherished moments sacred to my heart.
So I actually started a new blog on wordpress, but after a couple of posts I was not liking the format and I did not find the layout designer very friendly, so I came back here. So some recent posts are a little crazy with spacing and such, but I'm not gonna worry about them so much. For the next couple of weeks, I will probably continue to play around with the layout and headers, but thanks for stopping by and I hope you stick around for awhile ;)

we finally have internet
We finally have the internet at our apartment and I am pretty happy about it. It is nice to be able to be able to see what our friends and family are up to on social media and also stay in touch through messaging and skype. Haig’s mom started a Facebook group for our Pinsent Family and although no one has posted much on it yet, it has been a nice reminder that although we are all scattered across the country, we are always thinking of each other. A week or so ago, Haig called Rachel and it was so nice to hear her voice. She is doing really well and I am looking forward to seeing her next month. Having the internet will also help us to start planning for our wedding reception that is next month. Pinterest has been super helpful in gathering ideas, but looking for this inspiration for those ideas at my local craft and thrift stores has not been so great. I am going to Value Village about once a week now to see if I can find anything I like for the reception. We really need to take a drive out to our venue soon, my community hall, to see what we have to work with and what we can really do to make the place to our liking. I think everything will come together nicely though, and so I have been trying hard to focus on some other more important things.
Having the internet now also means that I really need to find full time work for summer leading into the fall. I have been applying for a lot of different jobs, and so far I have had two unsuccessful interviews, but I am still determined to find something. Well, actually, I have to find something. I am really excited to be done school and to work. Working for me means that I will have consistency, that I will be learning new skills and gaining new experiences in the workforce. Whether I find a job that is related to my field of interest or not, I just want to work and I know I will enjoy my job if I continue to work hard to find one.

march was a blur
March was a blur, or maybe I should just say that March was a snow storm, because let's be honest that is a little more accurate. We had days upon days that we were kept inside, which was nice, especially since we are newlyweds and love spending so much time together cuddling, watching movies and sipping hot chocolate. It was a little bit of a stressful month though because I didn't have a lot of school. I hardly had any school actually. We basically had a second winter break, and on top of that I couldn't go to work most of those days either. It was insane! On the days that we were able to get out, Haig luckily got to work and I was able to get home to relax and spend some more time job hunting!
Good-bye for now March, we are glad you are over.

1st Month
This weekend will mark our one month anniversary of being
married! It has been a really fun month. As members of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Haig and I did not live together before we were
married. So it has been a lot of fun to finally live with my best friend. He
has been a great roommate. We have both been working hard and I am finishing up
my last semester of school, so it has been wonderful to come home to each other
at the end of a long day.
One of my favorite things about living with Haig is learning
more about being a good wife. I notice I am doing so many things lately that I
didn’t do as often when I was living at home. I like to cook for Haig and bake
for him too. I have had a meal plan
almost every night since I have moved in. We usually go grocery shopping
together, but sometimes I will pick things up by myself. We are definitely a
team when it comes to chores and cleaning. We are both pretty clean and tidy,
and I am very organized so our apartment usually looks great.
We like to go to church together and see our friends and
family. We really like to watch movies and we have been finishing up The Office
series [we are currently on season 8, we miss Michael Scott but it is still a
pretty good show].
Although I hate talking about it, I am pretty sure I might
jinx it, but we are sick of the snow. There is way too much of it now. We long
for a summer together. It’s been a long time since we’ve had beach days,
picnics and star gazing nights. We are excited for spring because there are
some great things in store like my graduation, our wedding reception and our
birthdays, but the summer months are what we really want.
One more thing that I have noticed the past few weeks, is
that we stick together. Haig always does his best to make sure I am doing okay,
and I do my best to help him whenever he needs me. We have already had a couple
hard days and stumbling blocks arise in this new part of our adult life, but we
work through things together. Our love is so great because we are each other’s
best friends and we will literally be best friends forever.

hi, I'm married and we don't have internet
Our little married life has started and we love it. The first couple of weeks have been going great. We wish we could just stay in bed all day most mornings, but I am so happy we have both been working hard for each other at school and work. When we come home in the evenings, we have a lovely time making dinner together, cuddle, watch the office, and all that other stuff that married couples do..
Right now, I am at home because we don't have the internet at the apartment which makes it hard to get some things done for school and job hunting. We looked into getting the internet hooked up at our apartment and we got a pretty good deal on it, until we had to buy a modem and router and the initial set up fees and installations. I can't exactly remember what else came up that day, but of course there was something big that we had to pay for. So after some thinking and talking, we decided that now wouldn't be a great time for us to add another bill to our list.
I've got a couple funny reactions so far, people are just really surprised about not having the internet. Yeah, it's not great but we will manage and it really is not the most important thing for us right now. Then for now, I will enjoy coming to my "house" to spend time with our kitten and eat my family's food ;)

I want to Remember that
From Feburary 15th-17th, Haig was stuck at my house because we got a huge snow storm. We spent a lot of time talking and cuddling days before our wedding.
On Wednesday, February 18th I had one of the scariest things happen to me. I fainted and split my forehead open a little. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. My sister and my future husband met me there and took care of me for the rest of the day and evening. I spent the next day in bed trying to relax.
On Friday, February 20th, we got stopped in Aulac, New Brunswick for 6 hours while we were on our way to Nova Scotia. It was one of the biggest challenges and a frustrating afternoon. When they finally opened the highway, it was a terrible drive and I prayed constantly that we would get there safely.
I want to remember that, after it all, we made it to Dartmouth Nova Scotia, to the Canada Halifax Temple and we were sealed for time and all Eternity on February 21st 2015. Nothing was going to stop us. Absolutely nothing.

our love, I can't explain it
I remember nights and days driving to and from school, just missing him. I would wonder what he was doing, who he might be teaching, what he was teaching, sometimes even wondering what he was wearing. I missed everything about him. His sweet smile, the way he knows how to make me laugh, the fact that he knows how to be sincere, our late night conversations when we were hours away from each other. It was always so funny to know that we would get married, but not exactly knowing when. I remember days before he got home, I just thought I would take my time mentioning it. I will never forget driving his sister to work one afternoon and he finally said it would be sooner than I thought it would be. I will never forget how I felt in that moment. How I felt driving to Granny's that night listening to "I Will" by Matchbox 20.
"tonight, looking back on all this life,
its funny how the time goes by, and how sometimes it slides away..."
Thinking about it now even makes me so emotional. I said a prayer in the car before going up to the apartment that night knowing with all my heart that I wanted him Forever. I knew that everything in my life had led up to this decision. I knew without a doubt. Feeling the spirit is such an amazing experience, and I felt so much comfort and peace during this time. I knew there was a lot ahead. I was starting my last semester at school and I knew it would be busy. I was trying to work hard and get as many hours as possible. I didn't know how I would plan a wedding while all of this was going on.
But I knew that it was right. Haig and I continued to talk a lot about it all, and we made the decision and set a date. Looking back on it now it, I am not surprised that we were not as scared as we were. This was right and good, and it was going to work our.
It all worked out.
I am so happy we have so much support and love during this time. My friends have been amazing and so wonderful. I wish I could spend time with more of them, especially ones that are far away, but I feel their love.
My heart is in such a happy place. I can't describe it. Today, I get to marry my best friend. Not just for this life, but for Forever. I talked to someone about being in the temple earlier this week, and they said it was an amazing experience and they took all the time they needed to take it all in. I hope we can do the same. We have invited our close family and a couple of friends have we have been close with for a long time. It will be hard not to have other family members and friends there, but we hope they know that this is how we want to be married and we have received a lot of support in that.
Two weeks ago, we went to be interviewed by the Stake President to go to the temple. It was a great experience and he instructed me about what I should be doing in the coming months and what we should do as a couple. It was really helpful. I am happy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and to receive inspiration and council from church leaders. We are truly blessed to have these individuals in our lives. On the drive home, I thought of how Haig looked at me that night years ago when he told me he knew he would marry me. It looked like I could see the rest of my life when I looked into his eyes. I can't explain our love. It's defiantly something else that's for sure. I hope that the people I love can have a love like this someday too.
Love is such a beautiful thing. When someone becomes your world, your entire reason for existance, it feels spectacular.
