Santa Claus Came to town

Did Santa Claus come and visit all you good boys and girls this year?  He sure did visit our family.  Christmas day was a wonderful day and I loved spending it with my family.  We also got to go to an uplifting sacrament meeting where we listened to wonderful Christmas hymns sung by very talented people in our Church branch. We opened presents after we got home from church.  I got spoiled with a new TV, a duvet for my bed, a UPEI Hoodie, some other clothes and socks, lots of body stuff and... what you have all been waiting for... A gorgeous pair of sparkly earrings from the one and only Haig Aaron.  I also did spoil myself before Christmas with a couple of things that were on my wishlist like Lululemon pants, pretty scarves, a new purse and new jeans.  I still have a couple more things on the wishlist, but more practical things like a cover for my duvet and a floor lamp for my room.  We ate our Christmas dinner in the late afternoon, but the best part about it was my hot turkey sandwich for lunch on boxing day.  It was better than the dinner itself.  Boxing day was spend relaxing.  I did not leave the house once, I don't even think I made it outside.  I had some swelling from my wisdom teeth removal so that was no fun, but it has gone down since Monday.
I went back to work yesterday and last night we had a party for my best friend Amanda who is home for the Holidays.  Scott took lots of pictures so I'll get some of those up here when I get those from him!
Today, I took someone's shift so I was only at work from 11-4.  It was really random and strange because I usually work a full day shift (10-6).  Tonight, my cousins and Auntie K are coming for dinner and I'll go to Hunters later with the gang.
And tomorrow, is my second Christmas.  It won't be Santa Claus coming to town, but Haig Aaron will be making his way over.  No major plans for the weekend yet, but knowing us we will find lots of fun things to do and it will be good all around.
Stick around, I'll be back in the New Year!

Been awhile'

So it has not been a very exciting week, but I guess that's what getting your wisdom teeth out does to yah.  I got them out on Thursday and I was pretty much sick all day after that.  My weekend was chill, to let me mouth recover from the surgery.  I am mostly done of my Christmas shopping which is great because I was in a couple of stores today running some errands and the next few days are gonna be crazy!  I also have lots of plans to hang out with people this week.  I decided I really wanted to make an effort to give each of my good friends quality time to hang out this week.  So today I hung out with Casey for a bit, then we met up with Jess and Chelsey.  Tomorrow I will hopefully spend some time with Scott and on Thursday I'll go to eat with Ellen and Kayla.  I am also hanging out with church friends on Wednesday night for a YSA Christmas party.  I think that is the best Christmas present you can give to anyone--- Time.  The country, and my province in particular have just  been struck with the death of two guys from Prince Edward Island.  They were shot in Alberta last week.  It is a such a tragic event and is a reminder that life is just too short.  So forget that you may not be able to give someone a gift this year, you may not get the gift you want, just to spend time with people you care about should be enough.
That's all for now... more to come later.

Awkward and Awesome

Okay, so normally I would not do this because it is bascially Sydney's trademark from The Daybook. but I decided to do it today because today has just been one of those days.

- brushing shoulders in the largest hallway with a girl.  what was even worse was that we have the same kitbag, the kitbag that I thought no one else on campus would have.  and we both noticed
- that time when you make cookies and the dough seems like it is going to fall apart
- Nala.  she is just one weird old soul
- (this is the main reason for the awkward section) I live on a dead end street.  no one hardly comes down it let alone the people that live on it, and no one ever knocks on my door.  like ever.  so today when I heard a knock from my room I was like I am going to go get the door that never gets knocked on!  when I got to the door and opened it, two men (who I thought were the missionaries from the back)  turned around and walked back up the steps.  come to think of it now they did not even introduce themselves.  they started to try and sell me on something and seeing as I was freezing cold  I invited them in.  they sit down at my kitchen table and start to sell me on this life insurance thing.  then they realize that I did not own the house we were in and that I live with my family and my PARENTS.  suddenly they were really awkward and were like "can we come back when your parents are here".... they will be back later in the week, no one will be home ;)....when they got up to left one said "yes, we arnt mormons or jehovah witness, we are just trying to sell our product, then I stated that I was a mormon... He was a little blown away by this.  such a lovely afternoon..
- getting my christmas day gift from haig.  because I have no idea what it is but it is in a tiny little box.... any guesses?

- I, Alyssa Fraser, am finished of my first semester of university! Holla Holla
- my french exam only took me one hour
- getting a very gracious gift from my grandma for christmas.  she will be getting lots of hugs when I get to see her next.
- eating chocolate cookies after they come out of the oven and are still moist and melty.  can you say chocolate party in my mouth?
- going out to visit teach all 3 sisters we have tonight.  visiting teaching is something that women do in my church.  my companion is my mother and we go to visit 3 women, share a spiritual message with them and help them to do anything.  it is nice and I got little bits of different inspiration tonight from each sister.
-  the fact that I totally did not use punctuation and capital letters in this post.  hello Christmas BREAK!

oops, i love you

When I woke up this morning I realized I completely forgot to tell you what I did on Friday night with my best friend CASEY !!!  (check out her blog, she's trying and its super cute and fun to read!)  So, on Friday night I met Casey at Wendy's for some din din.  We are classy ladies like that.  Classy and broke.  We wanted good food at a cheap price, and that's Wendy's around here.  She got a spicy chicken sandwich while I went with the grilled chicken.  We ate our sandwiches and they were actually really yummy.  After we ate, we went down to Old Navy, Payless and Lasenza.  Neither of us did any shopping but Casey got some ideas for Christmas gifts and we tried on about every pair of shoes in the size six section of Payless.  I do feel a little bad for the women who were working that night, probably on commission, that we did not buy anything.  Tuff luck, I am broke and am still waiting on two pairs of boots that I ordered from Go Jane!  At this rate they wont be here for awhile (they have just been sorted in L.A!,  urghh--- I want my boots).   After all of that fun, Casey came over to my house.  Her mom was having her staff Christmas party at their lovely little house and Casey did not really wanna be around all that fun.  So instead we sat at my house, watched movie trailers and other youtube classics and it was a lovely night spent with my best friend.
What do you and your best friend do together?

A lovely weekend

Honestly, this weekend has been just lovely.  And the very sad thing is that I did not document any of it.

The weekend started on Friday by spending most of the day with my friend Dana.  Dana and I have known each other since Grade 1 from being in French Immersion together throughout all of our years of school.  We also sat a long side each other throughout our band days of playing clarinet.  Last year, Dana went on Rotary Exchange so this is also his first year at University as well.  Luckily, to go a long with all of our years of friendship and studying French together, we ended up in the same class!  So on Friday, I went over to Dana's around lunch time, we ate some food, studied some french and caught up on stories of the past year.  We also took his dog Gracie for a walk, she is such a precious dog!  It was a lovely time and I highly enjoyed it.

On Saturday, I worked from 10-5.  It was rather strange because I did not work the Saturday before and the Thursday night a couple days before as well because I have been studying for exams.  It was a good day though because I got to work with my favorite ladies and it was not very busy at all.  I was in Rockport so I mostly just got to help old people pick out shoes, or young people pick out shoes for old people for Christmas presents.  Greatness.  Saturday night I also got a little more Reebok staff love.  Ellen, Noreen, Scheit and I went out to Boston Pizza for a light dinner.  Noreen is going to Ontario this week, Ellen is going on her vacation and Scheit is going home to Alberta for Christmas pretty soon too so we thought it would be nice to get together before we don't see each other until the New Year.  It was a lovely and lively dinner and I  enjoyed spending time with these ladies.  After dinner, I made a quick stop to the mall to purchase one last item for Haig for Christmas!

Today reminded me of how much I love to relax on Sundays.  I went to church in the morning as usual.  Church was kind of a drag because I spend both hours in Nursery.  When I got home I ate some lunch, did some internet browsing and then did some studying for my final two exams.  This evening I also had the lovely opportunity to attend our church's Nativity Pageant.  It is a whole narration of the birth of the Savior along with real animals and lovely music.  I pretty much know the script by heart now from seeing it so much throughout the years, but it still gets to me every time I see it.  There was a lot of young families there tonight and it made me really happy because I know that there are still amazing people out there that are trying as much as I am to keep CHRIST in CHRISTmas.  It is a wonderful thing to know.

Here I am in the Christmas spirit.  A lovely lady from church takes these photos every year.  Honestly, the elf is so scary but so awesome at the same time.

So as for this week, I have two more finals to write, a couple more Christmas gifts to get, some baking to do, some TV shows to catch up on, and oh you know... get some teeth pulled from my mouth.  How joyous and triumphant.
Hope everyone will start to feel more Christmasy this week, I know this weekend has put me in a very Christmasy mood!

Mr. B

This is my best friend for the next couple of days.  For those who don't know what it is, it is a Bescherelle, which is basically the french bible of verbs.  Verbs are really silly in french, well, French is kind of a silly language in general.   But, j'aime la francais (yes I forgot the little thing on the 'c' but I don't have alt tabs so deal with it, I do really know what I am doing okay!)  So two more exams, University 103 on Monday which will basically be questions like 'How do you manage your time effectively' and 'How do you deal with stress'... yeah, not going to be that big of a deal, and then French on Tuesday!  Wish me Luck!
Good day and Good night

Brittany just did a post on numbers and it got me thinking about some numbers in my life right now.

23 months, have I been in a relationship with the wonderful Haig Pinsent.
28 days til I will get to see him again
4 exams I must write before I can feel stress free
15 days til I say goodbye to 4 wisdom teeth
6 hours I must work tonight and then be off until next Saturday
20 days until I get to see my Dad whom I miss very much
70 percent is what I am at least hoping to get on my exams
25 more days until we celebrate the birth of Christ
31 days until a brand new year, 2012--- come at me.

XO, Lyssa

The last few days

have been blissful, and have gone by way too fast.  They were fantastic while they lasted but goodbyes have had to be said again.  I want to share a story with whoever is reading this... and that story is a bit of my belief in prayer.  It is your average story of losing something.  On Monday, Haig's first day of his visit here, I went to my evening class to drop off my paper.  He joined me afterwards as we went to a bookstore and a couple of other places.  When I was picking something out I asked him if he had any cash so I could buy the item instead of using my debit card.  He said he did but when he went to look for his wallet, he didn't have it.  We did not panic too much at this.  We figured if he did not have it, it was sure to be at the house.  So we made a few more stops and made our way home.  Once we got home, we searched for the wallet but we had no luck.  It was strange because I knew that I had seen it and he would not have left his house without it.  Once we had felt like we had looked everywhere, we decided we needed to go back out and look for it where we had walked from store to store.  While we got back in the car, both frustrated and scared, Haig offered a prayer.  This act allowed us to let our Heavenly Father know how much we needed his help.  We went back to all the places we had went, but no luck.  When we went back to the parking lot at UPEI to look one last time, it was not there.  We got frustrated, I got teary and Haig called his Momma to cancel his cards.  We went home and took it in, and relaxed for awhile.  Then, it was while my mom was doing some cleaning in the mess we had made of the den, she found it.  Silly us, only moved the suitcase on the floor but we did not actually pick it up to look underneath it.  Everything was okay.  A wallet may not seem like a big deal, I mean it is because Haig needed a lot of stuff in it, but the point is that if we are feeling lost, we need to seek out our Heavenly Father for guidance and protection.  He loves us so much and he wants us to rely on him.  Don't forget that.

We spend the last few days, watching movies (Water for Elephants, Crazy Stupid Love, One Day and Cars 2), we went skating, did some shopping, ate lots of food, went out for dinner, went out for breakfast, and did a lil cuddling.
Now, Exam time for me and Work time for Haig.
every things gonna be alright,
XO, Lyssa

A day's end

My week has been good.  What just came to my mind is the fact that next week, we move into December.  I feel like time is flying, and its strange because I cannot figure out where it is going.  Over a year ago I was just at home, living my life, working full time, and now I am here.  A student, a lover, a friend and almost an adult.  It is crazy.
I ended my week and started my weekend today by going to see Breaking Dawn tonight with Chelsey, Kayla and Amanda Russell.  Honestly, I did not actually finish the Twilight series, so I do not consider myself a 'twi-hard' or whatever they are calling it these days.  This movie was actually pretty decent minus all the blood, the whole birth of the baby/demon/vampire child and a little bit of sci-fi in it.  If you are a fan, I would go see it in theaters to get the full effect, but if you can wait, then wait.  After watching Water for Elephants a couple of days ago, I do have to admit that although the Edward Cullen role is a little beneath him, Robert Pattinson is a pretty darn good actor and he is not too hard on the eyes either.  I am still a strong member Team Jacob though.
So, I get to work tomorrow.  Study in the evening and then watch a movie perhaps.  Sunday, I'll go to church and hang out with my bestie Casey.  I will also hopefully study with Jessica and Tony.  And then Monday to Thursday I will be one happy girl with my man by my side.  It will be wonderful.  Theeeeen, I'll study study study for exams, write those and get 4 wisdom teeth out.
I think my life is amazing.

baby it's cold outside

We are having our first pretty snow fall as I type this to you.  I saw pretty because it has snowed a couple of times this month already, but that snow did not stay and it was the kind of snow when you look out your window and you are disgusted by it.  This snow is pretty.  It is starting to cover the ground and I am starting to feel more and more ready for Christmas.  As ready as my heart is for Christmas, my head is not.  I have exams to get through first and then my wisdom teeth coming out.  It should all go well though.  Haig is coming over on Monday and staying until Thursday.  Hopefully him being here will be a bit of a mini vacation before exams, a stress relief.  People can take vacations before they write big tests can't they?  I see no harm in that.
Honestly--- if I could go anywhere right now, I would not be able to pick one stop.  Here are a couple places and reasons why.

Calgary/Lethbridge- I am missing my best friend.  I love her, and we both know we are having troubles getting to talk to each other everyday but I still miss her to death.

Somewhere down South- In order for me to do this though, I would want to go with my husband.  And seeing as I am not married yet, this will not be happening.  But I have never been anywhere down south before and I would love a tan right now.

Australia- On my bucket list, I have a goal to live in Australia for 3 months.  I am not completely sure why.  Perhaps because they live a pretty similar life style to Canadians, they speak English and I am sure there would be a lot of new things to learn.

Paris-  When I went to Paris in Grade 12, the one thing that I myself and I know Casey has said it as well, is that I regret not wearing cute clothes.  Of course we were traveling so much and it was March so it was fairly cold, but we walked around the streets of Paris in Yoga Pants and Rain Jackets.  If I could go back and do it again, I would have taken a whole different wardrobe on that trip.

For now though, I am here.  At home in my bed, in sweat pants, a hoodi,e and fuzzy socks.  And it is where I want to be :)
Where do you want to be?

A Boring post

Life has been a little boring...
Can't even remember the last time I wrote, can't remember who I am writing this to or why I am even writing it anymore but whateverrss.

So, this week.. I have my major global issues paper due on Friday.  Right now I am feeling pretty confident about the work I have done, but as me again on Thursday night and that might be different.

School is really winding down and I am almost finished my first semester.  Such a happy girl to have gotten this far :)

Christmas is on my mind.  And it is mostly Katherine's fault for posting her excitedness for Christmas on her blog today.  I miss that lady.  She and her husband are having the greatest time of their lives in Europe and I am so very happy for them.  But urghh, now Kat got so excited for Christmas!  I need to get through the rest of school first.

After the awesomeness of the holidays are over and I go back to school, the next couple of things on my mind will be Haig leaving on his mission (his papers are not in quite yet, but he will hopefully leave early next spring) and then the trip I am planning on taking.  I am planning on going out to Calgary, Lethbridge, Idaho and Utah.  Amanda will be my sidekick and we are hoping to have a great time.  Getting a little excited for that already too!  I have decided that since I took my trip to Ontario in May, I want to take one big trip a year.  So that will be it for next year.

For the rest of the day, I will do some school work...

Tomorrow, I am spending the day with my momma.  We will probably do some Christmas shopping. :)

Til next time,
XO, Lyssa

Oh this is gonna be a good life

A good life, a good good life.

Once, I finish the next global issues paper I have due.  Then I need to get through a couple more small assignments and then finals and I am free until January!  It is so close and it is giving me so much hope that if I can just keep pushing little by little, I will get there :)

This week has been pretty stressful, but it is all good since today was my last day of school for the week.  Tomorrow is a student development day and Friday is Remembrance day.  On Friday I think I will be going to Moncton to visit with my sweet Grandmother.  But before Friday, I will be most likely going out tonight with some friends, working all day tomorrow and then hanging out with the YSA tomorrow night!  So as you can see I have a pretty busy weekend planned.  I have to find some time in there to put 1500 more words in my Global Issues paper by next Friday.  I can do it!  Or at least I hope I can....

So, the other thing that is making this a good life is church.  Through writing this paper, which I have picked my topic on religion, I have noticed how different I am because I am a religious person.  But I would not change my beliefs for the world, and with that said, I am seriously considering serving a mission for my church.  It is such an on and off decision for me, but right now I am on an 'on' about going on a mission.  So help me stay on this 'on' attitude about serving!  It would be an amazing experience although I would be putting a lot of things on hold for it, it would be well worth it.

Anyways, those who are still reading, send me a message or leave a comment or something sometime to let me know that you are still here and enjoying this :)

I am Katy Perry and I am amazing

Halloween 2011 with my Hippie Love, Casey Ford

On Saturday night, Casey and Chelsey and I went to the Wave (the campus pub) and danced the night away  in our great costumes.  I was very happy with the turn out of my Katy Perry look alike.  I felt like a teenage dream ;)  But it was a decent night to say the least.  Sunday went well, church was long and I relaxed during the afternoon that was rainy and windy!  It was yucky but a well deserved afternoon of relaxation.  But today was a good Monday for sure.  I woke up thinking that today and the rest of the week were going to be horrible, but today turned out to not be so bad for two reasons;

1.  That Global Issues paper that I thought I was going to get a horrible mark on.. Got that back today.  And I got a B+ !! I could not be any happier with that mark especially in this course.

2.  My Soc midterm was easier than I expected, which is always a good thing.  I am still content that I studied a lot though, I enjoyed the learning.

Tonight, I watched a horror movie to celebrate the Halloween night!  It was well spent... Now, I should probably get started on my Christmas shopping!

It's Friday

Speaking of Friday Friday... think about this

Rebecca Black--->
Last Friday Night Video--->
Katy Perry--->
 One of my favorite celebs--->
Halloween Costume!

That is right folks, I am being Katy Perry for Halloween.  I've got the glitter, and the glam.  I dyed my hair, almost black and I've got some fake pinkish purple extensions to put in tomorrow night before going out to Party.  Kind of sad when you think about it though,  I am being Katy Perry yet tonight (Friday night)... I will be at home, in pj's, studying for my sociology midterm which happens to be on Halloween night.  Happy freaking Halloween to me ;)
Hope you all weekend filled with treats, tricks and awesomeness

Someone told my mother today at church that they would not want a kick from me today

And you can probably see why... these boots were made for walking.

But seriously, get this... This outfit is my favorite for one reason.  It was cheap!  I got a great deal at Old Navy the other day on the skirt and shirt, the boots are $12 from Value Village, and the tights are $2 from an outlet store.  You know how at the beginning of a new season you determine some of your favorite pieces to wear for that season (or maybe this is just me) ? Well be prepared to see these pieces a lot.  I have fallen in love with them all so much.  Hope you all enjoyed a lovely Sabbath Day.  I spent it with my little guy Jude at church and I will spend tonight finishing a paper for my Global Issues course that is due tomorrow.  Thank goodness.  The course itself has created a lot of issues in my life.  Cannot wait for December to get it done with!

You've got a fast car

this song is beautiful, take a listen.  At the Young Single Adult Conference that I went to last weekend two of my good friends sang it together, so lovely!!

So, in this reference to cars, I have been meaning to write about this for awhile, as well as a lot of other things.  I have been slacking for sure, but I want to try journaling so maybe I will be able to continue to do both.  So, here is the little update.

This is my new baby, well new to me, of about a month now...
Blogworld meet Ella

My 2000 Toyota Echo.  She is just a lovely little gem in my life as of lately.  I feel so mature, and she makes me happy.  Life is good, Ella is wonderful, and I am full of smiles on this sunny day.

Yesterday while I was driving to school for the second time, I watched a leaf fall to the ground.  It was right there in front of me, slowly swaying back and forth in the wind until it hit the ground.  I knew right there and then that it was fall.  I have been dreading the fact that summer is over.  No more beach nights, no more warmness and no more sand in between my toes.  However, fall brings a new change to the earth which I am very grateful for.  I thought about 'Fall'.  Yesterday I realized how much this word means to me, not only with the change of season, but a change of heart.  Some days I feel like I am falling out of place, but somehow everything manages to fall into place almost perfectly.  Like today for instance when I stressed out for my french midterm and really was not so bad.  I found a lucky penny today in the library and I think it brought me some luck.  I put it in my pocket and took a penny out of my own wallet to leave there for the next person studying their butt off.  I felt happy that I did it.  Another thing about this word is falling in Love, but falling apart.  Of course as you all know, Haig and I have been in a long distance relationship for over two years now.  The longest period of time we have spent together has been a full week.  I would say with all the visits added up we have probably spent more than six months together.  So, now you can see why our relationship has some challenges to it.  But I would not change a thing for now.  Every time we are together, we learn something new about each other, and we make each other laugh more, cuddle more, and enjoy each other's company more.  I keep learning new ways to fall more and more in Love with this amazing man.  With out relationship, for now, each greeting does have a farewell.  When Haig left yesterday morning, I felt like my whole world was falling apart.  We all have our breakdowns and this was mine for the month (well, maybe another one later in the month when I write my Global Issues paper, eek).
So my little advice for this new season, is to let yourself fall out of place, with faith that things will fall into place and also to fall in Love and let yourself fall apart when you need to.
Happy Fall

So I went to class...

And now I wish I had not.
When I woke up this morning I knew I had not slept well.  Now I just feel a gazillion times worse.  It is upsetting to not feel good when there is much to be done.  I do not feel productive when I wish I did.  I do not feel motivated when I really wish to do school work (strange right---I actually do like school!).  I don't know what it could be though.  It is mostly my upper body feeling sore and tense.  I am feeling a little light headed as well.  This is not what I need right now.
I believe I will watch Glee with my sister, paint my nails, and then get some Zzz's.

Rainy Day

To go out to my Global Issues Lecture or to not go out to my Global Issues Lecture
That is the question.

Choosing the Right will change your life

Time surely does go by..  because it seems like only yesterday that I wrote that post when really it was almost a week ago.  I have just been busy with school, work and personal life.  But the funny thing is, is that I am not really that busy with school, work or personal life.  I just feel like I am, overwhelmed with work that I need to do for these things.  I worked a bit this weekend and I also attended General Conference (2nd Session) yesterday.  I came home and wrote a paper while Haig was at Priesthood session.  I love him, but when it comes to getting my school work done, he is a distraction.  I got most of my paper done.  I will try and finish it up sometime tonight or tomorrow morning.  It is for my University 103 course.  We had to interview one of our professors, ask them questions about their career and schooling background and then write about it.  I have really liked this assignment and I am really happy that I chose my Global Issues Seminar Prof.  He is a really cool guy.  Before I called Haig last night, I had heard that there was an accident downtown.  From what I understand, it was a group of teenagers on some sort of prank around Charlottetown.  Three cars were in the accident and there was one death.  As upsetting as this is, it made me so grateful for the gospel in my life, but most importantly General Conference.  I was proud that out of everything my boyfriend could be doing late on a Saturday night, he was at Priesthood session and that he was choosing to be there.  People do stupid things everyday, big or small, I am grateful that I know how to Choose the Right.
This week will be pretty crazy, with not a whole lot of spare time.  So wish me luck with everything I need to get done and I hope all is well with you all.

ps.  I will be posting later tonight on something exciting in my life.

Time goes by

So, why not have a pretty WATCH to make watching the time go by more lovely?
This watch belonged to a family friend and she gave it to my Momma.  Mom never
wore it and soon the battery died.  I have always loved it and I watched it sit in my
mom's room all past couple of years.  So the other day, I went and got a new battery
put in it and a couple of the links removed and Voila, I am in Love.

Time goes by...

Daily Outfits and Rambles

Today was a pretty good day.  I have been having lots of good days lately actually.  Let's see, where shall I start.  Maybe with work.  I worked last Thursday night from 3-9 and then on Saturday from 10-5.  I am so fortunate to have a secure employment while going to school.  I have seen a lot of friends struggle with not having a job though out High School and University.  I am glad that I had a job going through High School.  It really helped me to have money to do the things I wanted to do, gain a work ethic and be able to prioritize my time.  I loved working during the summer when it was busier, but the slowing down has been a nice change as well.  I can get some school work done while I am at work sometimes so its a pretty good thing.

Let's talk about Haig shall we.  He is the man, He is my man.  We had the most wonderful telephone conversation last night and things have just been so good.  Not meaning to like tell everyone our current state of relationship, because I am sure some of you don't really care all that much.  But I just wanted to express how grateful I am for good days in relationships.  You and I both know that things are not always gonna go well with you and a loved one, but it is just GREAT when it does!  Haig and I have begun the countdown to thanksgiving, 12 Days.

Things with school are well.  I am starting to notice a lot of the differences between High School and University now.  I am also starting to realize the struggle of being an Arts student.  I do not get a whole lot of assignments nor have I had any major papers or tests yet.  I basically have to create my own work, my own things to study and hope for the best.  I have to do my readings and stay on track with the Prof's notes, as well as the textbook and my own thoughts on the subjects.  It is a little overwhelming, but it is exciting too.  I am some interesting things in some of my courses and I cannot wait to learn more.  I am really happy with the fact that I am at home.  I have my own little space in my room to study and get things done.  I have every little thing an office would have, I am like my own personal secretary!

Fashion has been on my mind lately.  I am really starting to wish I could make my own clothes.  I have had so many little fashion inspirations lately its blowing my mind.  Casey and I have decided that we will go to Community School in the winter season and take sewing.  We will most likely be the youngest in our class, and we will probably be some of the youngest in the Community School, but no worries.   It is for people to go and learn and have fun, which I know we will do.  She is a gem that girl, so happy to have her around :)

Last but not least- Sunday.  I love this day.  The Lord's day of rest.  When I can just spend the afternoon soaking up the sun outside in a long flowy dress and chat away with my boyfriend.  It is the best.  How did you spend your Sunday?

Happy Blog Birthday

I have been blogging for one year!

To Celebrate my blog's first birthday, I am posting some ABC's!  Some babies would know their ABC's by the time they are one right? Maybe.. Maybe not? Oh well!

Bed size:  futon, so double?  I really do love my futon though.  It will be strange when I get a real bed, but so glorious, because it will be a Queen Size.
Chore you hate:   All of them.  No just kidding.  I do not really like doing dishes but I also kind of dread laundry day.  I guess it just depends on my mood.  Dishes are the best when you blare your music while doing them!
Dogs:  Nala, grand old thing.  She is a precious gem.
Essential start of your day:  Texting my amazing boyfriend.  He usually texts me the sweetest things in the morning.  This morning was "I really need you today".

Gold or silver:  I love Silver, but Gold is timeless and classic.
Height:  4 Feet 11 Inches
Instruments I play (or have played):  Played Clarinet throughout Junior High and High School.  One of my greatest ambitions is to learn to play the piano.

Mom's name: Karen.  Or also known as, K-Dawg
Nickname: Lyss, Lyssa, Little Miss, Tretsy
Overnight hospital stays: Perhaps when I was a baby? But I am not 100% sure.
Pet peeve:   Oh man, this should be a blog post of itself.  Working in retail, I have developed the most strangest pet peeves ever.  This one is by far my biggest though... When people still have their debit card in the little paper envelopes.  It is called a wallet people! And I know you have one, because you just took your debit card in its stupid piece of paper out of it!
Quote from a movie:  "Keep moving Forward" - Meet the Robinsons
Right or left handed:  Righty Right
Siblings:  Bryan, 20, has no life.  Kayla, 16, strange little girl.
Time you wake up:  7:30
Underwear:  Currently?  Alright I Suppose... Bright Purple!  And speaking of underwear, new underwear is awesome and I will be buying some with my upcoming GST Cheque! Yeah Yeah!
Vegetables you dislike:  Have not tried one that I do not like.
What makes you run late:   Estimating that if I leave later, I will just drive faster.  Which usually does not happen because I am a good citizen and obey the rules of the road.
X-rays you've had done: Teeth and my hand.
Yummy food you make:   Cheesecake, bacon, grilled sandwiches and smoothies!
Zoo animal: Giraffes are the bomb.

I love you all, thank you for staying faithful to my lovely blog.  Keep Reading, Keep loving and Keep enjoying it :)  Because I enjoy doing it!

Today I pondered my weekend a lot.  I wrote a letter to Amanda to send a long with her care package I am sending her.  I told her about listening to Sister Allred three times over the weekend.  First on Friday night, second on Saturday and then surprisingly on Sunday as well in Haig's family ward.  It was such an amazing experience to listen to her and hear her counsel.  She is truly a woman who is called of God to serve the church in the Relief Society Presidency.  At the end of the Women's Conference on Saturday, they gave us all wood plaques that have a quote that she has once said;

"The true measure of our life is not how much we get,
but how much we give"

I got to give her a hug and she also gave me a kiss on the cheek.  She was about the same height as me and she was just super sweet!  Momma and I also got the chance to go to the temple and do some confirmations. I loved being in the temple with her, she is so awesome.

My weekend was also really good because I got to spend time with Haig and his family.  Haig was still a little sore from getting his wisdom teeth out last week, so we just relaxed most of the weekend.  Friday night, we watched Cars and Saturday night we watched Catch me if you can.  Saturday morning and evening, Haig taught me how to long board a little bit.  And I LOVE it.  It is fun but I really hope I can get better at it.  I know I will love it more if I do, and I know Haig doesn't mind me loving it either.  He is such a cutie and I was so proud of him being such a trouper this weekend while he wasn't feeling good.  I simply love him, in more ways than one.

This week is pretty swell.  I am getting lots of school work done and I work a bit on the weekend.  Tonight Scott and I hung out and we bought the shirt that he will put a design on.  I am really excited.  We picked a design tonight and I can't wait to see the outcome.  Scott is really good at what he does with graphic design, he's hardcore like that.

Today I didn't feel too well in the afternoon, but I think I am feeling better now and I am going to go to bed now. Goodnight :)

More to Come..

This weekend was fantastic, minus the part where Haig's mouth hurt most of it, but still a fantastic weekend.  That is all I have to pretty much say for it now, seeing as I only have a few minutes to say it.  I am not in the mood to be cheery and blog about my weekend right now, so I won't.  On another topic, I am not sure about this blogging anymore.  I love it, but seriously, who is out there?  Do you readers still love me? Show me some love.  I love blogging, but I would also love if people read it.  There are other ways I can journal and get more benefit out of it, so I could be looking into that option.  Let me know what you all think, if there are any of you out there...

You Fill me with Sunshine

So, I love Pinterest and Tumblr.  I just do not have a whole lot of time to make an account or manage one, so instead I just save pictures into files on my computer.  Lately, I have just been putting them into My Pictures, being too lazy to put them in folders that they would go in.  So, here is my own little post of Pinterest and tumblrs for this month!
