Happy Anniversary!

Haig and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary yesterday! It has been two wonderful years. As we celebrated yesterday I couldn't help but think of what our wedding day was like two years ago. We almost didn't make it to the temple to be married because of the weather, the day didn't go as planned and I hardly have any pictures of my wedding day because of how cold it was. I am very jealous of most wedding pictures I see because we don't have very many. But, the past two years has not gone undocumented and has been filled with many more wonderful memories that we hold dear to our hearts, especially the birth of our son Haig Arthur.

Haig went to work yesterday morning for just a few hours and then took us out to lunch at Montana's in the afternoon. Once we got home, I fed the baby before going out to do some shopping. I guess you could say that was my anniversary present, along with some flowers and a card that Haig brought home earlier that day. I am so lucky to go to sleep each night with Haig by my side. He is a wonderful man and husband and has also become a wonderful father and my eternal best friend. Here's to many more wonderful years together and good times ahead.

a day in the life lately

I know I talked recently about what we usually do during the day, but really it is the only thing I have to talk about lately. Having a baby in the winter time can be a challenge. We've only been on one walk outside because the weather can be unpredictable and I don't really enjoy walking in the area we live in. So we do spend a lot of time inside but it has been good for the both of us to relax and take it easy. Some days I am a little frustrated that we can't be out and about but I also don't want to risk getting either of us sick from weather or from other people. Soon enough the weather will be nicer and we will be out more often. Haig loves to have visitors in our home and we like hanging out, doing laundry, taking naps and making good food.

K & K

There was a lot going on towards the end of December that I totally forgot to mention that my little sister got engaged! I am so excited for Kayla and Keaton's wedding this spring but more importantly I am excited for them to start an eternal marriage together. They make a wonderful couple. I know they will make a great team. Marriage can be really hard sometimes, but I love having a partner by my side through everything that happens. Haig and I will be celebrating our two year anniversary this month and I am grateful for what we have learned so far in our marriage. I know that Kayla and Keaton are off to a great start because they have made some very good and righteous decisions together. What a wonderful time for them to be preparing for marriage and for the future!

Newborn Photos

Our sweet friend Destiny took Haig Arthur's newborn photos in early January. We missed the "fresh" newborn stage because we were in the hospital but I LOVE how these pictures turned out. He was a happy baby for the shoot but was a little fussy towards the end because it was time to go home and be fed and put to bed. We love this little guy so much. His personality is already coming through and I am already guessing that he is going to be momma's boy.
