Kent & Rachel's wedding day was really sweet. It was exciting to see them get sealed as husband and wife for time and all eternity. It is the first live sealing we have seen as a married couple, and it was lovely to watch them make the same covenants that we did in the Halifax Nova Scotia Temple, just a couple of months ago. The Cardston Temple was the perfect place for them to be married.
They looked very happy as they came out of the temple, and we didn't see them for the afternoon as they went to take their wedding photos. We saw them again later at their late-afternoon family lunch, and then their call reception at the chapel. It was sweet to see them with their new family and lots of friends, most of whom we did not know. It was exciting to see Rachel have this whole new family in the gospel. There was a lot of people there to show love and kindness on their special day.
Kent & Rachel, I am so glad we could make it to Cardston for your wedding and sealing. It was a hard decision for us to make, but I am glad we came out to Alberta to support you both as you took this step. Being married is a lot of fun, but it certainly has its challenges. My advice is to love no matter what. Go to the temple often, be around your family as much as you can, and spend as much time as you can together. You are in this for eternity now.
