Haig started playing "disc golf" or "frisbee golf" on his mission in Minnesota. He really enjoyed it and we were pretty happy when we found such a beautiful course to play last spring.
Hillcrest Farm Disc Golf is located on the Trans-Canada in Bonshaw, PEI. I am so impressed with their story and their hard work in getting the course set up for the recreational use of islanders and people who want to learn more about the game. It is actually really fun, but I am REALLY bad at it. I don't even play when we go now because it would take way too long. When we went out on Saturday morning, it took us just about an hour for Haig to play all 18 holes. The walk is so nice and it is a great work out (because let's be honest, I don't do a whole lot of that otherwise!).
Things to know
- admission is $10 and an extra $2 to rent a bag with discs.
- wear comfortable shoes and clothing. the course tends to be pretty wet
- the course also sells discs if you are interested in purchasing your own to use
